Toasted Earrings Pattern

I made these earrings for a swap-bot.com swap I entered called 'Ode To Toast'. I am also making a squeaking toasted keychain and a dishcloth to send. Enjoy these wacky earrings guys!

Toasted Earrings

Materials
2.75mm Crochet steel hook
cream crochet thread
brown crochet thread
fishhook earrings
needle
8 yellow glass beads
pliers
scissors

Pattern
Using cream crochet thread.
Row 1: Ch 6.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc across.
Rows 3-7: Repeat row 2.
Row 8: Ch 1, turn, sc 5 in the next st, sc in the next 4 sts, 5 sc in the last st.
Change to brown crochet thread.

Sl st brown crochet thread through cream loop. Cut cream thread leaving long enough to weave in loose end. Sc around sides of toast with brown thread, 2 sc in corners. Sl st at the beginning and fasten off.

Sew on glass beads in a cluster of 4 on each piece of toast to represent butter.

Open ends of fishhook earrings with pliers, pulling half of it toward you to open it. After placing it through a sc in the middle of the toast, clamp back the ring into it's original position. Do this for other earring too.

Weave in loose ends and you are finished!
